The parenting plan is essentially a formalized strategy for how you will raise children during and after a divorce. There are many strategies to include in a San Diego parenting plan covering many topics from the schedule, transportation and pick-up of your children, sharing important dates, maintaining communications and even personal rules agreed upon by the co-parents.
The schedule should clearly identify the dates or days of the week or pattern each child will spend with each co-parent. It can be as simple as alternating every other week with a visitation for the non-custodial parent on Tuesdays or complex in order to reflect the natural rhythms of your children’s lives. The parenting plan should clearly establish how the co-parents will share important dates and times in their children’s lives from birthdays and vacations to holidays and extra-curricular activities.
